Alen Makota

My name is Alen and I am a Photographer and a guy who love Photography in all its ways, and to be honest I was kid when I get to hold one of those instruments of peace and art, there was event when Photog (older man, serious looking type) give me his camera to hold it till he finish mounting lights and I was like WooWWWOoooww really, in my hands, and it was feeling like never before, and immediately I knew that I would love to be the one taking photos (older man, serious looking type- NO!) Then life happened, school, jobs etc. My dream was on hold…

And then back in 2014 I decided to take the path to become Photographer, thankfully my girlfriend (now my wife :D) agreed and it all started there, me and my Samsung NX300. After my first 1000+ snaps I realized that I have an eye for nice frame and composition but my skills were bad (obviously) and then I started learning but this time really hard and never stopped nor ever will…

Thing is that, when I take the camera from my bag I am a different person I see thing that I didn’t see before, my mind is calm and inner peace is something great about photography something that draw me back in to that moment when I got to hold a camera from that old man that i didn’t dare to ask: “…can I take a look thru that small window (Viewfinder) for first time…” Now I am that guy (not that old though) who see the frame, take his instrument, sets it and take that moment that is otherwise gone forever…

I am leaving you with two of my favorite Quotes.

“To photograph: it is to put on the same line of sight head, eye and the heart.”
― Henri Cartier-Bresson

“Always seeing something, never seeing nothing, being photographer”
― Walter De Mulder
